Dearie's Commencement 2015

Finally the time has come for Dearie to wear his mortar board officially! NUS Commencement falls on 7th July and I specially took leave that day to attend one of the most significant and momentous milestone in his life!

We took lots of photos that day, making use of the various backdrops and set ups around NUS University Cultural Centre.

This guy here refused to wear the mortar board to protect his carefully styled hair lol. And ain't the NUS Lion Bear wearing the the same faculty gown as him cute? I insisted to get one for him so he won't be empty handed that day. Haha. It's not cheap at $49.90 but okay just buy as a prop haha.

With his noble mum! She must be feeling so damn proud of him that day hehe.

And I was equally proud of him too!

Finally he agreed to put on the board haha.

I look damn cui but it's okay he's the STAR of the day heh.

With one of his buddies!

And we got seated shortly after.

With all the graduands seated too

The ceremony commenced at 3pm promptly, with speeches by Singtel CEO and shortly after, the presentation of the scrolls to the graduands.

Trying to capture him walking to get his scroll but he walked so fast the photo turned out so blurry!

And my favourite boy is on screen :D My heart was exploding with pride at that very moment!

The ceremony ended around 2.5hrs later so he went around taking photos while I went to get some refreshments together with his mum lol.

With his uni clique!

Some of his friends that he knew through his exchange in Beijing!
With us again!

Wefie!

Managed to get a clear shot after multiple tries

我的男人毕业了!!

To dearie

This journey to getting a degree is definitely not easy. I remember you mugging through many nights trying to get all sorts of assignments, projects and exams out of the way. There were countless times when you had to cancel on our dates due to last minute project meetings and even more times when you wanted to give up getting an Honours.

Initially, I was sure of your ability to get the honours degree but it aches me when I saw you being so stressed up. That's when I know that I should support you in whatever decision you make instead of pushing you too hard because hey, you are the one studying not me. And of course I need to be there whenever you need that dose of support and encouragement.

I'm glad you trust your own ability and desire to get that Honours Degree in the end. I was, and still am, really happy for you, because that can only do you more good than harm!

Congrats my beloved boy on yet another significant milestone in your life! Your road ahead shines bright and I know you will definitely excel in whatever career you choose to be in because you always got that kind of passion and guts in you to get the things you want.

Best of luck in your future endeavours and go earn lots of $$ now! Hehe ;)
