The Final One Month!

The final leg of Dearie's uni life is coming to the final one month! One month later, on this very day, Dearie will unofficially graduate from NUS!! I am as excited and thrilled as him!!

This 3.5 years seems short for me but I know it is definitely not easy and fast for him, and I am extremely glad all this will be over really really soon for him!! 

When he first started school in NUS, I made him a really simple card. I would like to call it a booster card cause it is full of encouraging and motivating content that I hope would offer him some kind of comfort whenever he feels too stressed or burnt out by his projects, assignments and whatnots!

And the card really helps him I think! It is so heartwarming when he says he will read it occasionally whenever he feels down or stressed out. He even said it helps him in scoring well for some of his modules! Don't know whether is he serious or just making me happy heh!

I made him a card when he first started school, so of course I need to make him another when he is finishing school right?? 有始有终. LOL

And I made this really quickly in his room while he was rushing his assignment in the living room. Heh. 10 minutes was all it took for me! Fairly fuss free!

Gave him a new motto to stand by! "NO STRESS NO GAIN!" Also a constant reminder for me as well :)

I hope this helps in him fighting the exam/ project battles before his school life comes to an end whee!

I hope he will bite the bullet and hang in there for this last lap as an undergraduate, and be able to apply whatever was learnt to his future job! :D

We were also discussing how we should have a longer holiday in May/June next year before he starts working in July since it is gonna be a while before he can take long leave again. Destination is still not confirmed yet but I hope the trip will materialise!

Wahaha year end trip haven come but already planning for next year's trip. Oops. Heh.

Basilico @ Regent Hotel

Few weeks back, I went to have a round of lunch buffet at Regent Hotel with my colleagues! It's an Italian restaurant so there were a lot of eye candies around hehe. It was a really impromptu suggestion and it was decided while we were queuing to get our annual health screening done. LOL. Quite a bad idea cause we took half day at the very last minute. :x

They have a wide selection of entrees for us to choose from. I was quite noob on what's nice so I just try a bit of everything. So many different kinds of cured meat that my friend strongly recommend me to go with a slice of melon and indeed the combination was divine! :D

So many different kinds of cheese and it was so surprising that they go so well with grapes! Italians love everything to go with fruits?

And then was the main course, some stew, curry puffs, fried rice, pasta, pizza and the likes!

Super love all these cherry tomatoes, baked potatoes and veggies!

At the meaty section where it's all roast pork, beef etc.

And then my multi lingual friend went to approached the Italian chef and manager for a photo together using her very fluent Italian!  We were teasing how the chef and my friend looks quite compatible. HAHA.

This round of lunch buffet cost me close to $80?! Busted a week's worth of my lunch allowance, but at least it's once in a long long while. Hehe.! Went shopping thereafter and ended our day on a really relaxing note. Definitely should do this more often! :)

Off to prepare and watch Gone Girl with the boy!! Tata!

My New Phone - Sony Xperia Z3!

Finally changed to a new phone over the weekend!! Queue was major fast even though it was a Sat at the Tampines Starhub outlet. Hehe. Took less than 15 minutes to get my phone after getting the queue number! Feels damn shiok. Spent half a day on Sun just to beautify my new phone!

Tada!! Introducing the new Sony Xperia Z3!! 

Because iphone is too mainstream and I still prefer android over IOS. Hehe. Main reason for choosing android is cause they allow customisation!! This is also slightly cheaper than the iphone anyway hehe. 

Look at the wallpaper and the app icons! Do they look lovely? All pastel pink and girly just the way I like it hehe. Absolutely in love with my new phone so far!! Only con is that I am not able to change the font type grr!! 

Even though I am abit reluctant to let go of my note 2, cause 用这么久也是有感情的, but I've got no choice cause the battery really depletes really quickly!! I hope SONY will not disappoint me!! Especially the camera function. Definitely need to do more exploration on this!

Tested the automatic function and I think it's pretty clear. To the extent that you can see the pores so clearly when you zoom into it! Compared with the same photo taken using Dearie's phone, his photo is more accurate cause the lighting in the store was slightly yellowish, or you can say my fone is pretty zai to filter out the yellow-ness. Wahaha!

 

Another function which I tested out is the manual - soft skin function! Now my boy has got baby smooth skin! Looks so korean-ish! With the fair face, small eyes and all. Heh. Super love this function cause no more pimply looking face! :D

♥ Our 7th Year Anniversary Part II ♥

Whee! First week of October is over and its a PH today! However, I was hit with menstrual cramps hence I did nothing much except rolling around in bed. Sucks to be a woman sometimes :(

Anyway I shall blog about Part 2 of our Anniversary celebration!

We headed to MBS after our brow threading session and it was so empty! Perks of being out in the afternoon on a weekday. Heh. And since there was not much people around, I asked the boy to help me take some OOTD since I brought my new midi skirt and wedges out to play :D

Then Dearie asked me to have a shot outside Balenciaga since Im carrying their bag. Free advert?


Anyway we roam around until our dinner reservation at 6.30pm! Dearie brought us to Pizzeria Mozza this year! :D

Their menu, all in italian. :/ We could only anyhow handpicked our orders and pray that it is edible. Act atas fail much? Haha.

Really proud of our G12 to take this shot so nicely, it was quite dim and romantic inside la!

For starters, we had Calamari Al Forno with Fagioli & Oregano

It's basically grilled squid but tasted pretty decent! 

Couldn't find this item from the menu but it's basically bruschetta with various kind of wild mushrooms, topped with something that taste somewhat like cheese? Fairly yummy too! Just a little bit of mushroom overdose there. Heh.

Then we had the real thing that they are famous for! Pizza!

Bacon, salami, fennel sausage, pancetta, tomato & mozzerella (cost a whopping $37!)

It's nice but gets a bit too salty for me towards the end :x but thankfully we managed to finish every single bit, mostly help from the boy heh! 

Then we were served a complimentary scoop of vanilla gelato to celebrate our anniversary! Effort!

And because they cleared our plates so swiftly, we felt obligated to leave the place so we left to go somewhere quiet to exchange our presents! Fortunately we found some plush seats in the mall! 

And Dearie made me this card! Whee! I still love handmade cards. His card totally own mine hands down this year.

And tada! My cui looking card made really hastily cause all inspirations left me argh! But funny thing is both of us use orange papers! Lol! Marks added for telepathy? Hehe. 

And handed his present to him! Damn funny cause he thought I only prepared 1 present, only to find out he got a 2nd present after this shot.

So here's the shot. After this he asked whether there's a 3rd gift. So i say "ME LOR." Hehe.

Always tickles me to see this kind of boyish expression coming from him. 百看不腻. :D


Thank you for the lovely anniversary dinner Dearest! And sorry for causing a big burn in your pocket but I know you will say that I'm worth it anyway. Heh.

Let's see where this relationship will bring us when we hit a decade old! XOXO
