Happy Sunday! Im recovering well from my flu and cough and cant wait to be back to work tomorrow, although 5 days of rest can be pretty addictive! Heh!
Here's day 4 of my trip to Beijing!
Boarded the bus early morning to go for brunch! On some buses, there will be someone selling bus tickets, which is so manual and old-school!
Here we are at the bridge cafe! Dearie specially slot this in cause he know I am a sucker for brunch anytime of the day. Heh.
Cosy interior.
Hello handsome ^^
Morning perk me up!
The brunch only cost us $7! How cheap! Tell me where can you find such decent brunch at this price in Sg! Although I must say, it is nothing amazing. :/
Next! We stop by this french cafe!
Pretty cakes on shelves!
The tiramisu which was quite meh! But the caramel macchiato is good!
Dearie brought me to a tour at the school he's studying in, Peking University! Heard from him that it is a tourist attraction! WOW, a school being a tourist attraction, it must be quite impressive.
With the lake in the school! Another wow point. Fun fact, this is also the area where most students like to hang around at night and perform hanky panky acts. :/
On to the other entrance/exit of the school! I forgot whether is this 东门 or 西门. Security is pretty tight so it is a must to show identification when going in. Thankfully Dearie lent me his student card while he used his student ID. So smart ey? Heh. I am glad that I still have the looks to pass off as a student. Heh.
Then, it's Yummie House for lunch!
NOMS! Cheap and good curry rice! It barely cost $4! Ridiculousy cheap pricing but me like! Hehe!
This can easily cost us $17+ for a serving at Cocoichibaya man!
Cannot wait to tuck in!
Bought drinks to wash down our heavy lunch! So stoked! Cannot wait to drink this again soon! ;D
Dearie bought me to the World Park thereafter, which was a big mistake. Not sure whether is it the timing of the day that we went or is it always like this, but the place is so deserted that it is like a site out of L4D (as quoted from Dearie). It feels like there is only the 2 of us, oh and a dozen couples taking their wedding photoshoot. :/
Nonetheless, some photos for keepsake!
Real horse! I wanted to sit on it and have a ride but the man shakes the head, and it was because they do not give their horses a pair of decent horse shoes. And I don't know whether is it me but I feel like the animals there doesn't look very happy?
Another elephant show that we attempted to catch, but left the place as soon as we stepped in cause it is so freaking smelly!!! The stench is so so strong that you would not want to be in that space for one more second, trust me.
A picture with his zodiac, and mine too (:
Roller coaster ride, but no signs of cart or screams anywhere. Freaky and creepy as it is.
At the Statue of Liberty
Eiffel Tower! So hoping to see the real one soon, it is like my dreaammm to see this in the most romantic city! If nothing goes wrong, this could be the destination for Dearie's grad trip! Working hard to save the money!
Part of Egypt! One of the statues was literally melted away. Such level of maintenance they have, what a disappointment. :(
The White House
The Capitol at Washington. I am guessing it would be quite impressive to see this in real huh?
Leaning Tower of Pisa
And that concludes our day's activities! We completed the park in less than 2 hours which was surprisingly quite fast. I think we did not feel like staying in there towards the end cause the weather took for a change and we can feel a sandstorm brewing. Indeed, it came when we were on our way to the MTR! So I was just keeping my head down, holding onto the man's hands and following him the whole time when it happens. :/ Thankfully he bought masks out for us and the walk to the MTR did not took us long.
Anyway! We went back to a mall, which I forgot the name of it, and had dinner at Ajisen!
Dearie's seafood ramen
And mine! The portion was slightly bigger than Sg's though.
Dessert at Dairy Queen!
Matcha ice cream for you? Had this together with a box of Tako balls! The boy was practically shaking his head cause I keep stuffing myself with food and it's not good I know, but we are on holiday! Oh! Or I should say, I am on holiday so there shouldn't be any harm to binge once in a while yea! Heh.
Off to catch more drama! Toodles!
