My First Half Marathon

IT'S ONE MORE SLEEP TO JAPAN!!

**

But first, let me just dish out my blog debt hehe.

Went for my first half marathon with Dearie last month, just 2 days after our pre wedding shoot to be exact! I was freaking out as race day approaches simply because I totally did not train for it! And reports of people dying on their long distance marathons freak me out even further

I think my farthest distance clocked was 6km just a week before race day man. Thank god we survived the race hehe.

Flatlay of our race bibs!

Woke up at 4.30am and we reached the race site at 5.30am in the morning! Had to have a photo taken with our fresh faces. That was a blown up version of our medal! Pretty impressive hehe.

Dearie with his colleagues

Crowding near the starting line for our wave to approach! So many enthusiastic runners that day!

At the half mark of the marathon! I think we only ran for 5-6km before we started walking-jogging-running haha.

Photo with MBS and Flower domes haha

Yay! The end is near!

Chui face lol

Timing sucks but we enjoyed the race albeit my ankle and his knee acted up along the way haha.

ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED! :D

Wore our finisher tee together for dinner that evening haha

Our actual timings!

After finishing 10km and now 21.1km, I think I am almost done with such marathons. Let's hope we wont be crazy to sign up for another 21.1km or worse, a 42km marathon! LOL.

Wedding Preparation #8 - Prewedding Shoot!

Finally had the time to blog about our prewedding shoot which took place in end March. I remember us scrambling to get DIY materials for the shoot 2 weekends before and spent a day just doing simple DIY for the shoot!

We are adopting a travel theme for the wedding so we went to get some wooden initials and printed out the world map to stick on it! So it's one of a kind now hehe.

End result!
Quite in love with it cause the placement of the blues and greens are quite strategic and on point hehe

We also do up our dates in world map format! Not sure if it will show up well on the photos though

I also did a simple gelish manicure with white french tips and some silver glitter hehe

Shoot day arrived and we reached the studio at 10am! We were delighted to see a board welcoming us together with some chocolates and bottled water. It's so sweet of the team!

And bridal makeover followed thereafter.
At this point, I proclaimed that I must be the most beautiful 收租婆 in the universe lol

Double chin alert lol.

The boy also had his makeup done and looking so dashing :D Never sick of him getting suit up hehe.

This was our 1st set and I super love the updo which my makeup artist did for me! I showed her some photos of what I wanted and she really met all my expectations. Hehe.

This was me all made up and trying to take a selfie but I look so weird with my eyelid tape and false eyelashes. Super not used at this point that I had difficulty opening my eyes lol

Mirror selfie haha

After some editing by my mua. Can I say I never know I can look this pretty? Indeed make up does wonders haha.

Super love my hairdo here! I was super afraid of those ah ma style updo but this turned out great. Exactly what I wanted and I never know my hair can be styled to such a voluminous bun without any aid of a donut. Hehe

Onward to the 2nd indoor set! At this point, it was major thunderstorm outside man. It was also this point when dearest hammie arrived and I got more behind the scenes photos which allows me to blog here! THANK YOU DEAREST HAMMIE FOR THE LOVE!

Yay wish granted with baby breaths in my hair hehe. Subtle and not too much since my gown has alot of details already! Love this hairstyle too! We bought the baby breaths at $5 a bunch but we only used up a bit. No regrets though haha.

Most chio look while making up ever haha

The hungry groom gobbling up a bread while waiting for me haha

This look was so soft, dreamy and demure looking when all my mua did was to let down my hair and change the colour of my lips. Totally don't look like my normal chor lor self haha.

I super love pink and grey combi!! This is my current phone's wallpaper now wahaha.

So handsome. (Hearts in eyes haha)

Solo shots are the most awkward. How do I smile, where do I look, what my hands do? LOL.

Solo shots seem to be the most comfortable for him though. Roar. Is it I burden LOL.

Yay together again haha

When the photographer ask us to 扮鬼脸 at the count of 3 haha

The want-to-kiss-but-cannot-kiss shot haha.

Then we headed back to SP for our casual shoot! Had a change of hairstyle to a more toned down version hehe.

Change of gown and hair again!

At Fort Canning Park next! Looking quite shag here liao

Then back to the studio for another change of gown and hair before heading to MBS!

Love my simple ponytail look but my hair can never hold curls well in Sg crazy weather.

When my mua decided to rewear my nubra for me and created a line I never know I can have lol.

The poor groom gotta do up his own tie while everybody else fuss around me. So poor thing!

Selfie before going out

Our cheesy shiny black suit and red gown haha. So super drama lol.

A photo with our dearest friend!

The rain cleared up for us but the floors were all so wet

Another selfie while waiting for the photog to set up his equipments

And IT'S A WRAP!!!!

It was a hell of an experience!
Alot of thanks goes to Hammie for fussing around me/us. Thank you for the huge love and making your way from Woodlands to Central just to be with us despite the pouring rain. Too much love and we really appreciate it!

Now, we can't wait to choose our photos tomorrow!! I bet it's gonna be fun and I hope the photos turn out great!
