Brunch at Lola's Cafe

Brunch hopping the other day and the food is definitely above average! 

Food presentation on point, and it definitely taste as good as it looks! Thumbs up! (Other than the long waiting time) hehe.

Brunch @ Fresh Fruits Lab

Whoa so the boy popped the question on our 8th anniversary and I can't wait to document everything down. But first let me get all my backlogs out of the way!

Some snippets of brunch at Fresh Fruits Lab about 2 months ago?

Finally a brunch place in the east and they got a great concept infusing fruits in their dishes!

I like the cosy interior as well! It makes us wanna hang out there all day long.

Dearie's big breakfast which is really huge, and look at the fruit salad by the side. The bacon was wrapped with pineapple underneath so it sort of balances the saltiness of the bacon. The sweet potato wedges were yums too!

I had their caviar pasta with half shell scallop topped with fresh quail eggs and caviar masago, which was equally good.

Orange and apple juice at the end of the meal! 

We will definitely go back to try some of the other items in the menu! :)

Brunch @ Riders Cafe

On the last weekend of 2013, Dearie brought us to Riders Cafe for brunch after my driving lesson! He paid for the bill (Thank you B!) cause he said I'm have been helping him on so much stuff when he was doing his exchange in Beijing even though I seriously don't intend to get rewarded for anything. But it sure is a bonus and it's so heartwarming to know he appreciates all the little things ;)

Tadah! Reached the cafe in like 15 mins??! I did not know it's so convenient to travel to Bukit Timah from Ubi! It seem so out of reach on the MRT map. Heh.

The place was really bright with enough spaces between tables to provide privacy! And we are able to look at horses while having our meal! It certainly does not feel like Singapore!

Shortly after this photo was taken, Dearie found a tiny scrap of paper on the ham and the staff apologised before preparing another fresh portion for us. Really efficient and excellent service!

Weekend - Saturdate Brunch; Doggie Sunday!

2 weekends ago, the boy brought me to forty hands for brunch after my driving lesson! Effort 101% cause I'm always the one searching for places to eat. Hehe. The place was kinda hard to locate though!

Dearie says: "You advertising your watch ah?" LOL! I din! I was merely trying to protect my hair from taking over my face cause it was kinda windy!

Both of us had this! The Big Boy Breakfast (consist of spicy chipolate sausages, grilled tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, bacon, bolognese (which we later found out was beef and couldnt eat meh), flat bread with sour cream, scrambled eggs)

It cost $18 for one of this and I feel its not very worth it! The food was only so so but I love the thought of them serving it in such vintage plates. Hardly see them around these days. Hehe. Other than that, the place was more of cramped than cosy and I felt uncomfortable cause there is not much personal space between our table and our neighbours.

Which explains my awkward smile cause it had people staring from the next table. O.O

 And we caught "That Girl In Pinafore" thereafter! Pretty good movie which brings back all the memories! :D:D And there's Daren Tan to ogle at. Muahaha.

Sunday was doggie outing with the friends from work! Okay la you might have notice we are the only couple without dogs. LOL. But its okay we had fun walking their dogs. Muahaha.

Brunch ; Habitat Coffee

Pestered dearie for a brunch outing on the week he was back and our brunch adventure continues!

This time at Habitat Coffee located at Upper Thomson! Just a short drive away from Dearie's place whee!

Brunch; Five and Dime

2 Saturdays ago, I managed to bug baby to bring me to Five and Dime for brunch after I end off a half day's work in the office! Work has been really hectic of late and I have been going back to the office on 3 consecutive Saturdays! I need my rest! 

Anyhow, we finally found the place after walking xx mins from Somerset MRT. I guess we walked the wrong path cause it took so long for us to find this place and I really don't know why we did not take the bus. LOL.
