Continuing my Aussie travelogues! On day 8, we booked a day tour to the Blue Mountains and Featherdale Wildlife Park. We were also treated to lunch and an Aboriginal Culture dance in between.
The day started fairly early. We had breakfast in our room before heading out to wait for the tour van at 7am in the morning. I almost thought I remembered the pick up time wrongly but thank god we din hehe.
Took this snap when we were let down for a 5-10 mins toilet/coffee break before heading to Blue Mountains.
It took us close to 2 hours for us to reach Blue Mountains so we caught up on some sleep in the van. It definitely did not feel like 2 hours when we finally arrived.
This was the view that greeted us. It was drizzling that morning so it was slightly foggy, but the sight is still beautiful. Cannot imagine its beauty when the weather is bright and sunny!
Notice the blue haze above the Jamison Valley!
We went on the scenic world trail where we took the Skyway, Cableway, Railway and the Walkway to get different perspectives of the Blue Mountains!
On the skyway first!
The Katoomba Falls
We caught the first sight of The Three Sisters (the rock formation formed by land erosion)
Close up!
Then, we went on the world's steepest railway next! This ride is definitely the most fun cause it's is almost vertical when its moving. So much fun!
Argh photo bomber behind us grr!
Then we went on the walkway admist the rainforest and learn abit about how the coal miners commute and transport coal even before the first railway was made.
And we took the railway again!
Dearie living life on the edge literally. Scare the hell out of me with this pose man
Thereafter, they brought us to Waraoah Aboriginal Cultural Centre for some cultural performance.
That concludes Day 8! 3 more days to go! :D
