On the second day of Sydney, we woke up bright and early to explore the city!
We decided to walk to our breakfast venue although it was a 20-25 minutes walk away. I always believe walking around in a city allows us to know and see more things along the way compared to taking the public transport. So there we were, walking and snapping photos at random sights and architecture.
The Aussie flag flying proudly
Empty streets as people are mostly at work I guess. Either that or the country is so big that there's lots of spaces for people to walk about without it looking too squeezy or congested.
The walk felt alright mostly because of the cooling weather and we reached The Rocks in no time! The Rocks is an urban locality, tourist precinct and historic area of Sydney's city centre.
Famous breakfast spot at Pancakes on The Rocks! The queue stretched round the stairs and we waited for approx 30 mins!
Stacks of 3
Seafood crepe which was really good!
The iconic structure at The Rocks!
And just beside it lies the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge!
We just had to take photos! It was such a gloomy day! :(
And the Sydney Opera House just opposite the Harbour Bridge!
A lady offered to take a photo of us but this is the outcome :/ So we decided to take ourselves haha.
Our best shot haha. Love my hair that day! Dearie thought I specially blow it that way but nope, I just put some serum haha, must be the sydney wind.
Headed to The Rocks Market thereafter. Super crowded!
Kinda regret not buying one of these chalkboards home! It would have been nice to have it in our new place.
A photo of their train station hee.
So crowded with all the China tourists. It's like they occupied the entire space.
We decided to have it with Peter's Grill cause it's one of the recommended stalls online. The lobster mornay with cheese is damn awesome! So were the scallop grilled with cheese as well. And freshly cut salmon and tuna!
With bursting bellies, we headed to Paddy's Market after lunch to do some souvenior shopping!
In the evening, we went to Harbourside Shopping Centre for dinner at another must try restaurant.
Half a pork ribs! It was so finger licking good everybody were eating with their fingers so we followed suit haha.
Clean bones. Weird satisfaction haha.
And we took the train back for to our hotel area for some night grocery shopping! Notice the trains are double decked? Brilliant!
Their seat handle can even be switched back and forth so a big group of friends are able to sit face to face during the ride. We were so stunned when we saw a group doing that haha.
Grocery buys. A bottle of milk and lots of bread for breakfast the next morning.
They were going at 6 for $3 it's insane! So we got a mixture of muffins, eggtarts and scones hehe.
