We were up bright and early the next day and made our way to 慕田峪长城! I think 慕田峪 is one of the most visited part of the Great Wall other than 八达岭长城, cause the rest were either destroyed or too dangerous for people to trek. Reached at about 8.30am after an hour's journey and the driver who drove us there very patiently tell us about the suggested route and scenic views to take note of when we were up there.

Got our tickets and off we go!
Our tickets! Cableway to go up via cable car and Toboggan run to descend when we are done.

And we got up the cable car! It was quite a scare cause it's so open and we are stepping on the metal pedals and nothing else.
And we were so high up. Omg freaking scary. And it's not like we are in the usual boxed up cable car where we feel so secured. This just feels scary through and through. Thank god I got the boy to keep me distracted. :')
Can you even see that I am scared? Hah.
And we were up at our starting point! The boy looks like he got a giant belly here hahs.
We started at tower 6 and totally embrace the awesome view. Just a note. 慕田峪长城 has 23 guard towers in all.
And here goes!
At tower 1 30 minutes later! So deadbeat and we spent some time catching our breaths there.
So tired I just plonked down on my butt. >.<

It's so windy and sunny at the same time.

How? Got the 那些年 feel? Haha.
Back at 6 for water break! And makan! Our red bean bun is oh so yummy then. Heh.
And we were up and walking again after 15 minutes. Notice how we are nearer to 忠于毛主席. We used this 5 words to gauge how far we have walked.
I think we were at guard tower 8!
And we reached tower 14 at 12.30pm!

And we make our way back to tower 11 to take photo with this gigantic stone!
Although we did not conquer and set foot in all 23 guard towers, but I am super happy that we managed to complete half of it, 14 to be exact in 6 hours. Our route goes from tower 6 > 1 > back to 6 > 14 > 8 to take the Toboggan run. (:
Anyhow, achievement unlocked! I feel such a sense of achievement that we have left our footsteps there. (:

And we took the Toboggan down! This boy so excited to go down even before I could take a decent shot. Boys ah boys. But it's so fun! I think it lasted about 5 minutes? It certainly felt that long!
And we went in to this place FOC cause we have the great wall tickets!
Nothing much though. Stayed awhile and we left.
Oh yea! Finally done with such a picture heavy post. Gonna go to bed already!
Boss have been keeping track of punctuality and I have been warned even though I was late for 2 minutes last Friday. Oh my la. Jiayou me.
