The place where my heart is - Beijing :D // 南锣鼓巷, 后海, 奥林匹克公园 //

Hello! Back penning down my beijing trip for memory sake! Heh! First time flying alone and I would say the experience is kinda awesome, provided there is someone picking me on the other side. Heh.

Managed to snatch a good deal off SQ's website and off I go on a Friday evening! I never thought it would be so easy for me to attain a flight with SQ at a reasonable rate cause their charges are always so expensive! But I guess keeping a lookout for deals always helps. (: The tickets is only $600 2 way! :'D

Excited face at my favourite window seat! With an extra empty one beside me too whee!

Fluffeh clouds! Loving this feeling of seeing things from so high up. (:

Dinner was served at 7ish close to 8pm. My first time having a meal on flight, in SQ some more. Sorry for  the emphasis cause I cannot believe it until now. Hahs.

Appetizer - Soya chicken with beancurd and peanut sauce. Main - Deep fried fish in chive and garlic oyster sauce, stirfried vegetable and steamed rice which I gobbled down in no time cause I was so famished!

Ice cream for desserts!

Reached the land where my heart is after a 6 hours flight. Time check: 00.10am. Cannot stop myself from grinning face to face when we are slowly descending cause I totally felt much more closer to the boy almost immediately! Cannot wait to just take my luggage and run into his arms. Okay too drama. Heh. But I bet you can sense my excitement x1000! :D

Anyway I really got to praise SIA's top notch service, from the hot towel served when I first got seated, to them asking us for drinks every 15 minutes, the feeling is really damn shiok. Heh. Not to mention ogling at the pretty stewards and stewardess. Heh.

The next day, we woke up at around 10ish and had breakfast at this eatery near Dearie's hostel. Yes he smuggled me in oops.

We shared a bowl of 皮蛋瘦肉粥  and 三鲜包, together with roasted soya milk, which really taste like roasted milk with no sugar. Not quite used to it bah. All these for $1 odd? Is cheap daoooo~~

Hi Dearest, so happy to see you! ^^

And we were off to explore the city! Touristy shot outside their MTR. Heh.

Spring calls for some flowers! ;D

And we reached  南锣鼓巷. It's this place with lots of streets and back alleys that sells all sorts of food at the sides and that is also where we settled our lunch!

OMG Churros!!!!!!

Want some? Damn nice! If only there is more chocolate syrup! First time trying too. I know I suaku. But everybody has its first time so don't judge. Heh.

Omg so cute exterior! Its somewhat like the tako balls we have here!

Cheese lobster! Piping hot. ;)

A cuppa of refreshing peppermint lime juice which is almost as big as my head. :/ I think this was $2 odd? Shiok!

烤肉串!We nom-ed 2 sticks and the last one got engulfed in a come and go mini sandstorm. So it goes into the bin. Super sad. And I only had this pathetic ONE stick the whole time in Beijing! OMG.

That explains the mask! I think this photo is quite cute, cause you don't get to wear masks together with your other half often do you? Lol. Check out our smiley eyes. ^^

南锣鼓巷 leads to 后海 too. This lake was frozen when Dearie first came. We went 后海 to grab some postcards and souveniors for our loved ones back home!

Arty shot. Oh that is my feet by the way. Hahs.

Then we were off to 奥林匹克公园!

It was so freaking cold when the wind blows and I believe you can totally see it from my face. I was totally shivering whenever the wind comes. What a weakling. :/

Finally a decent one, cause we were hiding behind a concrete tower sheltering ourselves from the wind. Epic fail. LOL.

Some photos! We stayed from evening till slightly later to capture them lighted up.

This is the National Aquatics Centre ( 国家游泳中心) or Water Cube (水立方). It hosted all the swimming, diving and synchronized swimming events. It looks so pretty lighted ;)

National Indoor Stadium (国家体育馆) where they held the handball, artistic gymnastics and trampolining events.

The Ling Long Pagoda (玲珑塔) which houses a part of the International Broadcast Center. Are you able to spot the Olympic rings at the top of the tower?

And that's the 3 main structures we went there for. Heh.

Dinner settled at Saizeriya! Cheap and good!

Tried escargots for the first time! Taste like mushroom. Hahs. Not bad for a start.

Went back to Dearie's hostel to unravel my taobao loots! Woohoo all my 宝. Got him to buy cause the shipping fee is cheaper compared to shipping to Sg! Hehe.

Anyway, the nights there always end early cause their malls close at 9ish and the trains and buses stop operating at around 10pm. So there is really not much of a nightlife there, which is totally fine with me cause I prefer keeping myself warm and cosy in Dearie's hostel embracing the heater. Lol.

Woohoo Day 2 next! When we conquered the Great Wall! :D
