Happy New Year guys! How's the first day of 2015 going along for you?
Today is just like any normal day for me where I just laze around in bed at home and getting my well needed rest! Ever since we came back from Korea a few days ago, I have been scrambling here and there with the unpacking, gifting of souvenirs and also trying my very best to get back to the daily grind so before I know it, 2014 is over! I also have loads to blog about so I hope I will slowly update this space, slowly but surely! :D
I barely had a time to do a proper closure of how 2014 has been for me so I hope I can churn out this entry before the 2nd day of 2015 rolls around!
**
So I went back to have a look at my 2014 resolutions and I must say I fulfilled quite abit so yay? Heh.
Here they are copied and pasted below from my blog entry in Jan 2014!
2014 New Year Resolutions
1. Think happy thoughts!
For this I would like to think I have been doing quite well? I don't usually remember or hold negative thoughts in my mind for too long cause I can't be bothered. Why spend time dwelling in unhappy stuff when you can be more positive in your life?
2. Be punctual (for work or meetups). Got to really learn how to manage my time properly!
Okay this one maybe not erps, But I shall continue to do my best starting from the first working day of the year, tmr! It shouldn't really be a resolution cause I'm supposed to be doing this!
3. Adopt a healthy lifestyle! Dearie and I agreed to spend a day out of our weekends doing physical couple activity together (such as gymming, cycling, running, swimming)
Yes too cause even Dearie agrees that we have been exercising quite abit, participated and even completed our first marathon together which is really quite an achievement!
4. To get my driving license!! Please let me get it already plse plse!!
Oh a definite yes for this! Finally got it whee! Off the list!
5. Limit online purchases to 2 each month! Trying very hard! But at the end of the day I hope my total expenditure can be reduced by half. I kept a record of my purchases and it's always a whooping 1k+ for the past few years >.< FAIL MAX. And dont get started on my exploding wardrobe...
And this I met too! Went back to see my purchases and the amount spent isn't as horrible as the years before although I din really keep to the 2 pcs limit on some months but still an improvement overall!
6. To save up to a desired amount in my bank account!!
Sadly I haven been saving up much why ah why! Need to start saving more alrdy!
7. Get my desired bag. LOL. Balenciaga wait for meeee. Although it's super duper expensive. But I have been working for so long so hard, so it's justifiable to get 1 right? LOL.
Actually this is the first item that I checked off the resolution list cause I got the much wanted bag a few days into Jan! LOL! So yay for this too! But I'm really not lusting for any luxury bags at the moment cause all this monies can do so much more and I figure material wants only gives fleeting moment of happiness which dwindle in time!
So I would say it was quite an achievement for me since I have met most of my resolutions? Hehe!
Although 2014 had not been stellar, but it is not a roller coaster ride neither so I'm glad for the peaceful ride which is more than enough. There are definitely times where I doubt and wonder but I choose not to allow them to affect me too much.
I am ever grateful for another year of being able to wake up and go to work everyday, being in the pink of health and the ability to travel.
Here's a really short summary of the year 2014 to the best of my memory!
1. Got my driving license. This tops the list cause I have been trying so hard to get one and yes my efforts all paid off at the end.
2. Cleared my indepth business and corporate tax course at the first attempt so this makes the 2nd major achievement of the year.
3. Travelled to 2 more countries which I haven't been to previously as well - Bali and Korea. For this I am super thankful for another year of safe travels.
4. Completed my first ever 10km marathon with the boy with a good timing which I'm still proud of. :) Currently contemplating if I should go for longer distances like the 21km, Dearie is strongly urging me to do so but I'm afraid that my legs couldn't take it. So let's see if I will have the courage cause the skies the limit yea?

5. Attempted white water rafting. Checked this off the list and I'm seriously thinking of doing skydiving next. does this sound crazy? YOLO max haha!

6. Went on a winter vacation, when I witness snow for the first time (yay!), and spending Christmas overseas (double yay!) as well. Probably the next target of the bucket list is a countdown overseas? Heh ;)
So yes 2014 was so much better than expected!
Here's my new year resolutions for the year 2015! It's gonna be a short one but nothing not worth mentioning :)
2015 New Year Resolutions
Worry Less
Travel More
Be Happy
Stay Healthy
New year, New beginnings. A fresher start.
Let's all strive to make 2015 fulfilling and better than the previous years! Treasuring the better times but never forgetting the lessons that bad times taught us as well.
2015, bring it on! I am ready for you! :D
p/s: Phew, I managed to churn out before the final minute of day 1 ends :)
