Bali - Island of Gods Day 2 // Part 2: Oka Agriculture Bali, Tegallalang Rice Terrace, Mount Batur & Batur Lake //

Dearie went for a project meeting with his mates so I thought I could update here again!

Day 2 part 2 of Bali!

I especially like this part of the day tour cause the sights and scenery is so lovely!

After leaving the temple, we headed to the coffee plantation next! Bali is famous for their luwak coffee which we did not get a chance to try as it's at a cost!

The coffee berries are eaten and egested by this Asian palm civet (see photo), and they will then clean up the poo before using it to make coffee. Sounds gross right, but it is extra expensive because they feel that whichever seeds that were eaten by the civet should be of high quality and hence the price.

We saw roosters!

The beans that were poo-ed out from the civet!

After cleaning up!

Cocoa beans! I din know the cocoa fruit is so huge??

Spices! There's cloves, cinnamons, dried chillis, vanilla (love the smell of this!)

After the mini tour, we were whisked off to a sheltered hut where we get to try the samples of the different types of coffee they have!

From left to right:
Ginseng Coffee, Ginger Tea, Bali Coffee, Lemon Grass Tea, Bali Cocoa, Rosella Tea, Coconut Coffee

I prefer the lemon grass tea, cocoa and the rosella tea! And the coconut coffee taste like sg coffee haha.

Toast to Bali haha!

Thereafter we headed to our 2nd last stop for the day! The Tegallalang rice terrace! It is so popular that they charge now, but Rupiah 5000 is just like $0.40. Hehe. The exchange rate was $1 to Rupiah 9100!

Pretty rice fields!

Love the contrast between the field & sky!

Shortly after, we went to Mount Batur located in Kintamani! It is a semi-active volcano and it's last eruption was in 1999! It has erupted 24 times since 1800! But it's so pretty! Cheers to mother nature :D

Upclose!

Lake Batur is the biggest lake in Bali!

A photo for momento sake :D

It's kinda windy and breezy up there! Super shiok feels like Genting haha!

And that concluded our day tour! We ended our night in a really romantic way in Jimbaran Bay! Will post an entry soon! :D
