Celebrated dearie's birthday alone with him 2 Fridays ago! It was 2 days before his actual birth date, I insisted to spend it alone with him else I will feel like there is something missing if we just go ahead and celebrate with his family around. I guess it's just me. Haha.
Headed to Farrer Park that day to collect SNSD's 2013 diary on behalf of his sister before going for dinner. We wanted to dine at TCC as there is a 50% discount for baby cause it's his birthday month! And can only be used on that month anyway so we thought why not!
We were so glad that they have an outlet at Central, away from the overcrowded town area on Friday night, which is always something good for a change. ;)
How you define TCC?
We ordered a side to share and a main each for ourselves. Hehe.
The highly raved Shrooms bite! Delicious light puff pastry filled with a sauteed mushroom ragout. Now I know why it's everyone's favourite! It's so tasty that it has become mine too! Definitely in my must-haves in future! 6 is like not enough?! HAHA.
Mentaiko Spaghetti with Salmon Tataki
(Velvety slices of salmon quick-seared to a tender pink, splendidly dressed atop mentaiko spaghetti and accompanied with a perfect sunny side up.
Dearie had this. So yummy I keep exchanging my pasta with him :X And also partly cause of the mentaiko sauce and the pasta made al-dente. Yummy to the maximum!
Seafood Aglio Olio
(Spaghetti aglio olio subtly flavoured with chilli and garlic, accompanied with succulent pan-seared scallops and fresh prawns)
Those who know me will know I always go for cream pasta cause I like it creamy, be it cream or tomato based. But I still decided to try something else and order this cause it's another chef's recommendation. If its recommended, it must be good! And indeed it is! The prawns and scallops were succulent and juicy no kidding. But the pasta tasted quite mild to me despite it being tossed in chilli and garlic, guess I still prefer those heavily flavoured pastas. Hehe.
Remember I mentioned we wanted to utilise the 50% discount? The boy forgot to bring his membership card out so we can't use it. :( Well! On a 2nd thought, it means we need to will go back again! Hehe! I wouldn't mind that. ;)
We did not took any photos that night except outside TCC. But the polariod turns out so bad that we threw it away. Bad cause it was totally dark and not a sight of us. :(( And we forgot to take a photo using our camera too. Guess we were too engrossed chatting away and basking in each other's company, while strolling our way along clarke quay and the likes. :D
Walked past Haato & Co and couldn't resist getting a cup! We got Yuzu Sorbet and Green Tea! Both are equally refreshing! I find that as I get older, my tastes changes. I find those chocolate ice creams too jelat for me now. Uh oh. #signsofageing My maximum is like cookies and cream now. Heh.
