Dignity Kitchen

The company brought all of us for a learning journey to Dignity Kitchen on a Friday morning last week. I never knew about this place until recently when they came over to give a talk. Although I never attend it, but I briefly know what it is about.

It is basically about this man starting up this kitchen, bringing together people who are physically, mentally or intellectually disabled. He taught them life skills such as learning to cook, selling books, drinks and basically earning their own keep through their own means. I find it very inspiring and I know that him operating this space will give people a lot more hope, and motivation to live life as well.

It is open to public so I hope whoever is reading this will give them your support! Not an advert definitely! Just trying to give them the support I think they deserve. :)

This is the place! Address below!

Their mama stall who is being run by children with low EQs and their mothers.

We had lunch there first. My roasted chicken rice was amazingly well plated despite the man handing the knife and chicken single-handedly, running the stall together with an autistic child.

The famous bak chor mee and laksa which were popular and they were decent too.

Desserts! Pulut Hitam and Bo Bo Cha Cha.

Oh! On a side note, if you were to go, please try their menus from the western stall! The fish and chips recipe come from Chef Eric himself! It was closed when I was there the other day. But I am certainly going back for their cheap and good food. :D
